Master of Education (M.Ed) Teacher Leader Program

If you are an educator and want to take on more of a leadership role within your school, consider the Master of Education Teacher Leader Program at Midway University.

In order to create a more positive learning environment, it is necessary for teachers to step into leadership roles striving to improve student performance, and the school's culture and climate. Our teacher leader program focuses on preparing teachers to use student performance data to make decisions to improve curriculum, instruction and assessment practices in their schools.

Our M.Ed program is delivered in a blended format with the majority of the coursework online and a few on-campus meetings. In this program, you will learn how to:

  • Evaluate high-quality research on student learning
  • Plan for differentiated instruction for P-12 students based on data analysis and classroom management
  • Incorporate reflective practices
  • Provide clinical experiences that examine student achievement in diverse settings
  • Enhance instructional design using Kentucky Core Academic Standards (KCAS) and EPSB themes

Admission requirements:

  • A 3.0 cumulative GPA is required on all undergraduate and/or graduate degrees
  • Once all transcripts and scores are received, an interview is required for admittance into the program
